Job Title: EURēCA! Student Assistant in Laboratory for Integrative Vision
Job Location/Address: CU Denver College of Liberal Arts and Sciences / This position can be flexible with some remote and some on-campus components.
Purpose: This research assistant will contribute to a project in the Laboratory for Integrative Vision, which is located in the Psychology Department on the Downtown campus. This project investigates individual differences in visual attention and involves examining eye movements, which are small actions that are made throughout waking life to bring new information into focus. The student’s activities will provide experience with psychological research, particularly in the fields of human perception and cognitive neuroscience.
Position Description: The research assistant will conduct experimental research using eye-tracking technology to investigate individual differences in visual attention. The student will work directly with faculty member Dr. Carly Leonard and postdoctoral fellow Dr. Ryan Ringer. Learn more about the Laboratory for Integrative Vision.
Duties and Responsibilities: Duties will include reading background literature related to the project, assisting with running human participants, and participating in weekly lab meetings. After gaining experience in the lab, further opportunities to be involved with data analysis and research presentations will potentially be available as well.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Psychology major or minor
- Strong interest and dedication to research
- Ability to work with others respectfully and effectively
- Ability to work with technical equipment and software and learn to follow research protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of Research Methods, Human Cognition, Psychology of Perception, Neuropscyhology
- Interest in cognition, perception, or experimental psychology
Position Commitment: 5-15 hrs/week
